As an interior designer, I believe that creativity is not limited to a specific aspect. You can easily lose yourself in everything related to design, color, materials, and art. Through upbringing, friends, and family, this can be further stimulated and developed. From a young age, I was always busy with my mother at home, styling and decorating. In the winter, the winter accessories would appear, and in the summer, there would be a summer setup.
During my studies, I worked in women's fashion at 'Pauw,' where I regularly advised and dressed a steady clientele. Additionally, I started my own label in table linens called 'Atelier Koket,' and in my free time, I spent evenings drawing, first on paper and later in 3D on the computer, a skill I mostly taught myself. Thanks to my job at Pauw, I met Ellen van der Donk, and together with her, they ultimately took me on a journey into the world of Italian design. That was when I truly found my place, and I knew what I wanted. After three years of learning, in early 2022, I started 'GV Concepts' for myself.
In terms of design and atmosphere, I believe an interior should be timeless. Classic, elegant, calm yet tasteful. By using basic colors and various natural materials, I achieve this in my designs as a starting point. Additionally, an interior should always reflect the client, their story, the journeys they've made, where they come from, as well as certain pieces that belong naturally in the home that is part of the assignment. You’ll never get a random picture from me.
The house of my parents in Pijnacker, where my studio is also located and where clients can find great inspiration, was my first big project. Now, nearly three years and many projects in the Netherlands and abroad later, I have been able to build up a nice portfolio.I am very open to conversations about a project, a story, and the various possibilities that I, as an interior design studio, have to offer.
